One of our most anticipated albums of 2010 is the new album from Elin Lanto. We’ve already heard a few of the tracks that are going to be on it, and can confirm that it warrants a lot of excitement about it! Well, we can now exclusively reveal its name and release date. ‘Love Made Me Do It’ will come out in Sweden digitally on May 3rd, and physically on May 5th!
It’ll be preceeded by brand new single ‘Tickles’, composed by Per Aldeheim, who’s also worked on tracks for Lambretta, Nick Carter, and Carolina Liar. A video for ‘Tickles’ is being made by the same guy who directed the amazing, scandipop award winning video for ‘Love Made Me Stupid’, and it’ll get its premiere on April 19th.
In the UK, ‘Love Made Me Stupid’ has been signed by AATW, but there isn’t a release date as yet. Still, the video should be popping up on UK music channels very soon. It’ll also be released in France on M6 (the same label that worked wonders there with Agnes).

Oh dear. AATW and Hard2Beat should stay away from these acts if they want any kind of UK success. Surely Polydor would be a better home for them?

Alcazar is still happening in the UK. Nothing to do with AATW though, they’re on 3 Beat.
I don’t think a big label like Polydor, would ever pick up a European dance artist sadly Chris. The UK record industry is still totally xenophobic it seems to me, and they think of acts from Scandinavia and mainland Europe as automatic one hit wonders. The only act that has been signed by a major label lately is Alphabeat, and sadly they have only had middling success (though I hope the amazing new single DJ will change that)…

Nope, 3 Beat are independent. But sometimes, like with the Agnes releases, they’ll do it in partnership with AATW – share the costs and thus the profits. But most 3 Beat releases are done solely as 3 Beat.

Would love to know what you think about why more major labels in the UK don’t take a chance on European acts btw 
The thing that annoys me is the fact that all the big labels send their acts to work with Scandinavian producers if they want a hit, yet won’t sign Scandinavian acts.
Where would Britney be without Max Martin? Where would Lady GaGa be without RedOne? Where would Ke$ha be without Dr. Luke?
