Here’s a Christmas song that sounds like it could be a hit anytime of the year, if you just take away the word ‘Christmas’. It’s in the same vein as most of Jill’s songs from the last decade. Pop flavoured country music which focuses on having a fantastic chorus – which this definitely does! It’s very catchy and upbeat, juxtaposed brilliantly by its heartbreaking lyrics – at one point Jill even sings about going out to buy presents for her man, then returning home to find him gone. And they’ve given it a big fat generous helping of Christmas bells too, which is ALWAYS a good thing.
