Maria Mena is releasing a new single from her current album – the title track, ‘Viktoria’.
It’s Maria in storytelling mode – singing an autobiographical tale through her lyrics, delivered by that very much inimitable vocal style of hers. The song is a mid-tempo ballad – starting off with a weary lone piano, and finishing with a confident symphony of strings. Nice. So very Maria Mena.
She’s released a video to go along with it too. Sad, but with a happy and sweet ending. Phew! Like the song itself, it comes into full bloom during the last couple of triumphant choruses.
