A sense of Euphoria…

scandipop July 21, 2012 3

Erm….we don’t quite know where to start with this one.

Well. It’s a cheesy metal cover of Loreen’s ‘Euphoria’. On paper that sounds absolutely awful, or at least it does to us anyway. But lo and behold – it’s actually quite brilliant. By a project called Swedish Hitz Goes Metal (type those words into YouTube to discover what they’ve done to the likes of Abba, Ace of Base, and Roxette) it does exactly what it says it’s going to. It takes ‘Euphoria’ and turns it into a schlager metal pastiche, complete with screeching vocals and theatrically dramatic drums and guitars.

It’s a little bit special. But we’ve not been able to stop listening to it all morning – be it from morbid fascination or genuine admiration.

Cheers to Roger from the Scandipop Facebook forum for the heads up on this one.

REALLY GOOD VERSION, KIND OF RETRO, REMINDS ME OF THAT LATE 80′S AND EARLY 90′S WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER AND LOST MY VIRGINITY WITH A ROCK STAR

Actually quite good…..reminds me of those random songs you’d find on the Dance Nation PS2 games back in the day :P
