Following on from their Melodifestivalen final success with ‘Gotta Thing About You‘, Swedish group FO&O are back with some brand new music. An entire album’s worth, at that. The new record came out on Friday – their debut international album. As it’s their first for listeners outside of the Scandi lands, it’s a hefty collection of 16 tracks that incorporates new singles (‘Gotta Thing About You’ and ‘So So Good’), last year’s hits (‘Summer Love’, ‘My Girl’, and ‘Who Doesn’t Love Love’), and even some of their earlier smashes (‘Build A Girl’ and ‘Run With Us’). AND what we’re most excited about is that they’ve finally put onto Spotify the previously unreleased ‘Buzzkill’ – ie their best song like, ever. On top of all the above, there are also seven brand new songs, of which we’ve identified some highlights over repeated listens this weekend. The single-worthy ‘Teenage Talking’ is probably our fave of the brand new ones – but also worth checking out are the three big synthpop bangers that the boys have delivered in the form of ‘Good Life’, ‘Love Like This’, and ‘Loop’. All in all though – it’s an album to keep coming back to over the impending summer. Pop music done large and oh so very well.
You can find ‘Buzzkill’ on our Best New Pop playlist. And this weekend they’ve released the video for new single ‘So So Good’. Watch below.
