Danish lass Clara Sofie has just put out a new single and video that we’re enjoying to the max right now. It’s called ‘Gennem Himlen’ and it is large.
Like all good chorus hooks in Scandinavia, there’s a prominent “oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh“. It’s a pretty epic number, thanks to that chorus melody. The production’s quite interesting too, borrowing ever so slightly from Michael Jackson’s ‘They Don’t Care About Us’. Sort of crossed with a subtle echo of trip hop. So it’s a little bit 90s poptastic in both respects.
We’d be intrigued to see what would happen to Clara’s career if she ever started singing in English. She’s got the tunes to get the attention.
