The Petra Marklund album previews. Day 5: ‘Nummer’

scandipop October 12, 2012 1

The latest preview of the new Petra Marklund album ‘Inferno’, is another new sound/style/sub-genre for the lady whom as days in which we live with the ‘Inferno’ album pass by, we are finding increasingly harder to remember was once September. It’s ‘Nummer’.

This one has a touch of the Emeli Sandé’s ‘Heaven’ to it. Or a touch of the Massive Attack’s ‘Unfinished Symphony’ or Candi Staton’s ‘You’ve Got The Love’ if you’re an older reader. Or a touch of the Loreen’s ‘Crying Out Your Name’ if you’re a more topical reader. Either way it reminds us of four different songs that are each very ace in their own way – but it’s still a fresh, Petra Marklund take on the trip-hop-lite style. And we think that it ruddy well sounds great.
