This song. It’s been one of the revelations of the year for us. Darin going all serious on us, yet making us love his music more than ever. Here’s what we wrote about the song originally. And yesterday he released the video for it.
What happens in it? It’s his ‘Viva Forever’ moment. He ventures into a forest to reminisce of an era gone by, and a childhood which is now only a memory. Don’t be too sad Darin – you’ve grown into a proper hunk of a chap.
How’s the single been doing for him? WELL. It’s been absolutely MASSIVE for him. And is still going strong. On Spotify it’s already surpassed the number of streams of the lead single from his last album, and quadrupled the streams of his sole single from last year. It’s still top three on iTunes. It’s all over the radio. It’s become a hit for him in neighbouring Norway. It’s setting his new album up to be his biggest.
And when does the album arrive? In September. He’s written all of the songs himself, and promises a mixture of up-tempo and down-tempo.
