The 2019 Scandipop Awards: The Nominations – Voting Open!

It’s that time of year again. Time to take stock of the past 12 months and capture the absolute best music of the year, forever solidifying its status so that it may not be forgotten once the next twelve months of tunes makes their way into our hearts over the course of 52 New Music Friday playlists.

As is tradition here on Scandipop, we do this in an oh-so-ceremonial manner. And we hand the duty over to you, our beloved readers, to chime in and crown your faves. It’s the tenth annual Scandipop Awards. And voting is open!

We’ve gone through the last 12 months and selected the best of the best of the songs, the albums, the EPs, and the artists that make them. 13 categories of awards, six nominations in each. And with one of those categories geared towards who we’re laying all our hopes upon for the next 12 months.

There’s a playlist – there’s always a playlist. And you can listen to that right here. Needless to say, it bangs. There has been some incredibly great music released this year. So naturally, hearing the best of it play back is quite something.

Now. Time to vote on it. Voting is open from now and stays open until midnight on Sunday, January 20th. The winners will be announced the week after that.
