Not only was it the final of Swedish Idol 2011 last night, it was also the last ever episode – as the series is now put to bed. Here is the winner and her single.

As such, some of the contest’s biggest success stories from the past were invited back to perform. Måns Zelmerlöw and Danny Saucedo opened the show with a duet – a BANGING cover of Chris Brown’s ‘Yeah 3x’. A performance which looked like it shook Stockholm’s Globe arena to its very core! ‘Twas hugely ace.

But it was Agnes who completely stole the show – outshining even the final two contestants who really did unfortunately pale in comparison to her. She sang her winner’s single from Idol 2005, ‘Right Here Right Now’. And with it she served the audience with a reminder of the sort of talent that the show can give exposure to, and the calibre of star it can go on to produce. We loved that Agnes chose to perform ‘Right Here Right Now’, as opposed to her current single or her big international hit. It was the perfect full circle end the eight seasons of the show, and a humble example of what this kind of show does for budding pop singers.

Both performances;

Agnes

Måns & Danny
