What’s this? The brand-new EP from Norwegian artist Chris Holsten, released today – ‘Cold Hearts’.
What’s on it? Two singles – the excellent ‘Wish I Never Met You’ and the beautifully fraught ‘Empty Bottle’ – plus four brand-new songs.
What are the new songs like? Our pick of the bunch is the title track, ‘Cold Hearts’. It picks up where ‘Wish I Never Met You’ left off, taking the synthpop element up a notch or ten, and turning out to be an electropop banger for the ages. We also love the ballad ‘Memory’, featuring Sweden’s Paul Rey.
What does Paul say? “This EP is the result of 12 days in Lillehammer I never want to forget”.
More from Paul? We would have loved to have seen last year’s ‘Don’t Speak‘ on the EP, too, but never mind.

You can find ‘Cold Hearts’ on our Best New Synthpop playlist.
