What’s this? Swedish pop superstar Tove Lo has only gone and released her fourth album! This is ‘Sunshine Kitty’.
What’s on it? Previously released singles ‘Glad He’s Gone’, ‘Bad As The Boys’, ‘Jacques’, and ‘Really Don’t Like U’, an intro, and nine brand-new tracks.
What are the highlights out of the new tracks? Well we’re in the fortunate position of finding it quite difficult to pick any, because the album is SO DAMN GOOD on the whole!
But go on. Ok, well instant highlight is ‘Sweettalk My Heart’, which we think is serving as the new single. ‘Stay Over’, serves an equally impressive melody. Worth checking out are the two max-tracks (literally, with a Max Martin hand in them) ‘Mateo’ and ‘Equally Lost’. And ‘Anywhere U Go’ is a dream.
What does Tove say? “My fourth album in five years, feels really surreal. It’s my best one yet. ‘Sunshine Kitty’ tells some of my teenage love stories, current infatuation and future fears. Almost like a scrap book. I’m so proud and grateful to all of the features, producers and co-writers. Everyone was down to enter the pop weirdness and experiment! I think the best way to describe this whole album is just that it’s like me – I don’t think, I just do. And that’s what I did.”
