Here’s the latest single to be taken from Morten Harket’s ‘Brother’ album. And he’s made a video for it too. It’s ‘Do You Remember Me’.

This is an intriguingly produced ballad. It’s either got a non-traditional structure with no chorus, or a traditional structure with a non-traditional chorus. We can’t decide. But it matters not. It’s a hugely enjoyable listen either way – thanks to a catchy yet melancholic guitar riff that forms the basis of the song, and also the dreamy melody of that aforementioned non-traditional chorus thing. We guess this is a folk ballad, but we’re getting some strong hints of r&b (whether intentional or not) and obviously pop too. The guitar is also a bit Stargate in their early noughties era too. So there you go.

‘Do You Remember Me’ was written by Morten himself, along with Peter Kvint.

The video serves as a highlights collection from his 2014 tour. Have a gander;
