Steven Stewart, the composer behind the deliciously saccharine pop gem ‘Doctor Doctor’ by Sani, has been in touch with us about a competition that is being run in connection with said track. As regular reader will know, ‘Doctor Doctor’ is one of the songs in this year’s Finnish national selection for Eurovision. It was cruelly overlooked in Heat 2 and denied a place in this weekend’s grand final. However, it made it through to the second chance round and will compete on Friday for one of the final two places in the final on Saturday. Steven says that Sani will perform a slightly remixed version of the song on Saturday, with an (yes yes YES!) ‘’increased tempo’’!
The competition he’s running is outlined here; http://drsani.blogspot.com/. Basically, you’re invited to make your own video for ‘Doctor Doctor’, upload it to youtube.com, and the winner deemed to have produced the best video will win a Nokia N95 8GB mobile phone featuring the Nokia music store. It’s our kind of competition when the instructions read like this; ‘’so grab your stethesopes and strobelights; hold on to your heart monitor and grab your disco balls’’!!!
Even if you’re not interested in entering the competition though, it’s well worth visiting the website – as a remix package has been uploaded in a zip file and been offered as a free download – as well as the mp3 of the original edit. There’s nothing we love more than a quality piece of pop music that just keeps giving and giving!!!
