Roxette: ‘Touched By The Hand Of God’

Roxette have announced the second single to be taken off their ‘Travelling’ album – and it’s this gem, ‘Touched By The Hand Of God’.

Taking the lead of the album’s first single ‘It’s Possible‘, this is another up-tempo and melodic pop number. Ridiculously catchy and immensely feelgood – something Roxette have always excelled at. Like ‘It’s Possible’, ‘Touched By The Hand Of God’ sounds like classic Roxette, just how you remember them from the 90’s.

It’s strange, we liked ‘She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio)’ (the lead single from last year’s album ‘Charm School’) initially and at the time, but after these two singles, it’s sounding increasingly inferior, and becoming all the more baffling as to why it was the group’s big comeback single last year when they’re clearly capable of much more – ie these two tracks.

Still, we’re not complaining, just enjoying.

Folks from outside of Sweden can pick up both the ‘Travelling’ and ‘Charm School’ CDs from our online store here.
