LOVE LOVA! We’re still not done hammering her debut single ‘You, Me & The Silence’, but now Swedish newcomer LOVA returns with its follow-up. ‘Insecurities’.
What does LOVA say? “This song I hold near and dear to my heart. It’s about me realising and accepting my insecurities and taking control over my own life. Having insecurities doesn’t make you weak but loving them makes you strong. Life isn’t black or white, right or wrong, life is messy and has many complex layers. So try to accept and love every part of yourself, ‘cause each thing makes you, you. I hope my song can be a reminder of that. I hope that when you’re having a bad day and maybe feeling insecure, it can lift you up and make you feel better about yourself.”
What does Scandipop say? It’s much in the same vein as what we fell so hard for on her debut. ‘Insecurities’ feels like the older, cooler sister though. And while the previous single positioned her as being ‘up there’ with a lot of her contemporaries, ‘Insecurities’ confirms that she’s on a par with an even wider selection of your faves.
Written by? The lady herself, along with Victoria Alkin, Frans Torell, and Teo Runsiö

You can find ‘Insecurities’ on our Best New Synthpop playlist.
