Today sees the release of the first of three songs that Saara Aalto will be presenting to the Finnish voting public next month, as the country picks its entry to the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. Broadcaster YLE have selected Finnish artist Saara to be their representative, with TV viewers getting to choose the song. ‘Monsters’ is the first one out today, with another coming next Friday, and a third the following Friday.
Written by Saara herself, along with Joy Deb, Linnea Deb, and Ki Fitzgerald, ‘Monsters’ is a super catchy dancepop track with a touch of the theatrics and the drama that Saara has by now made her trademark. It’s very much what you would expect a Saara Aalto song to sound like, but elevated to a competitive level to the extent that it’s the best she’s ever sounded. Check out the music video below too;
You can find ‘Monsters’ on our Best New Pop playlist.
