Eric Saade has put out a brand new single as a special release. It’s ‘Back 2 Myself’ – released as a charity single with proceeds going to Världens Barn. It’s a pretty cool track in that it deceptively starts off as your standard-charity-single-ballad-fare – but then morphs into a synthpop banger that fits right into the global pop soundscape right now. Big kudos to Saade for putting out something which sounds like it could have been taken from his current EP, rather than an after-thought that’s literally been donated to charity. The young un’s that Världens Barn help ARE in need, after all. The song was written by Saade and his current collaborators State of Sound, but for this release they also welcomed lyrical and melody contributions from the public – in a video message released through the charity earlier in the summer. Last night he performed the song for the first time at the charity’s televised gala. Saade delivered a specially choreographed performance – watch below.
