That’s a whole lotta people. Well this is a whole lotta song!
What’s going on here? Ok, so you already know of Julie Bergan and Alan Walker – two Norwegian talents who have featured on these very pages many times. And the other featured artist is Seungri – a singer and songwriter from South Korea, best known as being a member of the boyband Big Bang. K-391 is a little harder to explain, and is presenting himself as something a bit more than an artist. But for all intents and purposes, and until we learn more, let’s just call a spade a spade – he’s a Norwegian producer.
So ‘Ignite’ then. OMG this is where it gets very exciting. We’ll be honest here: it sounds – for all intents and purposes – like Julie Bergan featuring on an Alan Walker song. But as you know, that sounds amazing. And actually, ‘Ignite’ manages to get itself up there amongst the best of both artists’ repertoire. So yeah – this is impressive stuff. Get acquainted below.
Nice! Released in mid-May, it’s already become one of our fave songs of the year so far. Yesterday they performed it at the annual VG-Lista festival. With Norwegian rapper Vinnie replacing Seungri’s verse.
You can find ‘Ignite’ on our Best New Dance playlist.
